Jonny Long on a chilly autumn afternoon shoot

JONATHAN LEE LONG

Jonny Long was born on June 17, 1987, to a woman.

As number five in a seven-sibling family, his childhood was riddled with colorful experiences and adventures. It was a desire to record the enthusiasm of childhood that led to his interest in photography as a creative medium.

Many people were impressed with his early work. Some were not, so they will receive no further mention. Inspired by big brother Joseph, Jonny pursued a degree in Photography at prestigious Walla Walla University. While there, he became a sought-after student photographer for his exciting sports and portrait shots.

Upon graduating in 2010, Jonny joined Joseph's eclectic creative agency Very Long Media, whose diverse range of commissioned work and creative projects in graphic & motion design, photography, and filmmaking has led to a dedicated following on the West Coast, as well as New Mexico and Pakistan.

Jonny is currently guiding the Photography division at Very Long Media, and already has a full plate of commissioned work. As of June 2011, he also works from Vancouver with Toronto-based stock agency KASPI as an Associate Producer and Director.

His dream is to someday shoot Tina Fey. With his camera. Stay tuned.
